Almost Famous

Whew. What a weekend. I’m exhausted. My alma mater, Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, had their alumni weekend this weekend. For most this means a nice Sunday barbeque. For a small, younger group, it means a pub-crawl. But for me, it means most of my favorite people come to town and we suit up for our once a year alumni swim meet. Inevitably, at the end of this weekend I end up wiped out. Throw in some swim lessons and my brothers playing each other in water polo and I’m double wiped out.

Even though I am physically exhausted and have already taken two naps today, inside I’m still wide-awake with excitement. Why you ask? Oh you don’t care? Too bad. I’m telling you anyway. I am crazy excited because yesterday morning, this little thing I love, my little baby the blog, got a shout out in the Orange County Register. Cool right?

I would like to thank my mother for the amazing publicity. If it weren’t for her amazing kitchen being featured in their “Monthly Kitchen” piece, this extra boost in readers would not be possible.

And, I must also thank the author of the article, Cindy McNatt for even thinking my blog was something interesting.

If you would like to check out the article, and my mother’s amazing kitchen, you can see it here.

More importantly, if you are a new reader who saw the article and are looking for the post about the meatloaf cupcakes so you can make them yourself...
